Low Smoke Halogen Free BS 5308 cables are ideal for use in commercial and industrial applications where smoke/toxic gas release is a problem in the event of a fire and there is a risk of mechanical damage. Although they were originally designed for instrumentation applications BS 5308 cables are now used within a wide variety of industries including commercial building management control.
BS 5308 cables are available with collective aluminium tape screening (CAT)or individual and collective aluminium tape screens (ICAT) to prevent electrical interference and crosstalk.
